Please welcome Warthrone, the vicious black/death metal force spawned in 2004 from the depths of the USA underground scene by members:
Erik Sayenga (former Dying Fetus drummer, Witch-hunt drummer/guitarist)
Kristel (former Witch-hunt keyboardist/dark purity bass)
Richard Johnson (former Witch-hunt)
Warthrone creates a dichotomy of extreme and intense metal with epic haunting passages and symphonic blistering structures throughout and combines influences that range from symphonic Black Metal to Death/grind which was presented on their self-released debut 6 song EP “Ghoststorm Eulogy” in 2005. After a brief hiatus, in July of 2014 they were back full force to release their 8 song full-length album entitled Venomassacre.
This album was released by Virginia’s Lost Apparitions Records (Brutality, Criminal Element, Abominog, Deceased etc) on CD and digitally including a remastered version of Ghoststorm Eulogy as bonus tracks. This release found positive reviews and attention of the worldwide underground scene including over 40,000 likes on... more

Totengefluster was a pleasant surprise for me quite a few years back when their second album fell into my hands. Symphonic black metal from Germany, very reminiscent of Cradle of Filth. Whilst the previous album had a sense of poetic theatricality within it's composition, this third and final album (sadly the band has now split) is faster paced and more fierce. The songwriting is great, and the vocals continue to impress with the range and execution. Highly recommended, worth the purchase! Abyssius Murkraken

Officially got too impatient for their new album Seventh Secular Crusade to be available here on bandcamp so hoping this album plus the couple new albums (to me) I recently bought will keep distracted enough until I can buy that too.
Swedish Melodic Black Metal just has that sound. Glad my Dissection and Sacramentum albums finally have some company. ChaosFury

S'il fallait vraiment reprocher quelque chose à Profane Doctirine, c'est que, ne se prenant pas assez au sérieux, il pouvait par moments faire penser à un catalogue (mais un très bon catalogue !) de ce que sait faire Mark Erskine.
Problème réglé avec le premier album The Great Old Ones ! Il est vrai que le concept des monstres lovecraftiens n'est pas innovant en soi, mais le black metal symphonique prend de la hauteur, se fait spectaculaire, noble, fascinant et dangereux. Une belle progression ! Jordan Vauvert
