Tom's Reviews I love it when American bands are able to play this style of music with as much conviction as their European counterparts, and this record delivers perfectly in that regard. I really like the guitar solos, their tone is just sizzling, and the vocals are top notch as well. I hear an early Old Mans Child sound, and the smallest bit of Dimmu Borgir as well; this is just darker, and heavier because it is darker. Killer stuff all around!!!!! Favorite track: Seven Eyes Seven Horns.

Christopher Dont be fooled by the Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir comparisons, Warthrone sound as much like Setherial and Old Man's Child than the other two. It isn't a bad thing it just sounds way heavier, faster and darker which is what lured me in. Awesome fucking album and it has Sarah Jezebel Diva as a special guest, what more convincing does one need? Favorite track: Seven Eyes Seven Horns.

toilet-humor I selected the title track as my favorite, but it was a toss up between that song and Unto The Face of Serpents. Great album! Favorite track: Crown Of The Apocalypse.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

Totengefluster was a pleasant surprise for me quite a few years back when their second album fell into my hands. Symphonic black metal from Germany, very reminiscent of Cradle of Filth. Whilst the previous album had a sense of poetic theatricality within it's composition, this third and final album (sadly the band has now split) is faster paced and more fierce. The songwriting is great, and the vocals continue to impress with the range and execution. Highly recommended, worth the purchase! Abyssius Murkraken
